Sophia works with adults across general health, chronic conditions, women’s health, and mental health. She founded Seavaint Health to make virtual care feel like a person actually picked up the phone: warm, organized, and clinically careful.
Background
Sophia is a registered nurse with a Master of Science in Nursing. She is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-C), which allows her to provide care across primary care and outpatient psychiatry within applicable scope.
Her practice draws on years of bedside experience and outpatient care, and a particular interest in making conventional medical care feel less rushed and more human, especially for women, parents, and adults managing more than one thing at once.
Care philosophy
Care should feel calm before it starts. That means giving you time during the visit, explaining the reasoning behind decisions, and being clear about what telehealth can and cannot do safely. Sophia is direct about scope: if a symptom needs in-person evaluation or specialist care, she will say so.
Areas of focus
- Women’s health: birth control, hormones, perimenopause, vaginal health, UTI and BV evaluation
- Men’s health: hair loss, hormone questions, weight management, reflux follow-up
- Mental health: anxiety, depression, ADHD evaluations, medication management
- Chronic conditions: hypothyroidism, GERD, ongoing follow-up
- Acute issues: common infections and short-term concerns that telehealth can address safely
Languages & access
Sophia practices in English. She offers California-only telehealth visits and welcomes new patients from across the state. Care is provided through a HIPAA-aware platform, with visits booked in the patient portal.
Insurance
For psychiatry, we accept Medicare directly through our practice and commercial insurance through Headway. All other services are cash pay, with transparent pricing in the patient portal.

Sophia practices in collaboration with Dr. Kenneth Van Williams, DO, our collaborative physician. The collaborative relationship operates behind the scenes to support the quality and safety of the care we deliver. Patient visits are conducted by Sophia.
