Telehealth may be a good fit for adults with typical non-severe reflux symptoms or who are already managing GERD and need follow-up. Some symptoms require in-person evaluation, testing, or specialist referral.

- Vomiting blood
- Black or tarry stools
- Severe difficulty swallowing
